This is one of the tools I really needed. A few months ago I bought an Ambient Weather Radio for future emergencies. Our lights went out a few months ago and I was a little unprepared for my situation. I had flashlights and they worked well. There was no light for about three (3) and a half hours. Well, that scenario made me think that this power outage might be a national emergency and I didn't have a battery-powered radio. That's when I realized that in the event of a national catastrophe, I had no connection to the outside world. I always leave this adapter connected to the Ambient radio and as far as I know the radio will automatically stop charging once it is fully charged. The radio's LED lighting is nice and bright. It's funny, we never think about what we need in response to a national emergency until it happens, and it really is something to think about.
