I chose this universal remote because it is compatible with my much older devices. This product was a lot smaller than I thought it would be and came with a manual and codes for MY electronic devices. However, the disadvantage of this remote control is that programming the code was time consuming and it was difficult to find the right code for the right electronic device. But once I figured out that the functions on the remote work properly. Another downside is that it's likely to get lost because it's so small. Aside from these two things; I would give it 5 stars because it works great with my old DVD players and VCRs and is easy for my 8 year old to use.
