I've spent hours choosing a new air bed and duvet. The big problem is that reviews are so inconsistent and contradictory that one person likes something and another hates it. One person says the seam is bad and another says it's great. how do you understand it especially when giving something back is usually so difficult and expensive that it's impractical. All I can tell you is that I love, love, love, love, love this blanket! it is soft and cuddly, it is like velvet. The navy blue color is beautiful, a deep rich velvety blue, slightly darker than the photo. I didn't notice any flaws, it was clean and ready to use. I only wash my comforters once or twice a year (depending on need) so I don't understand why people wash them weekly, that's what sheets are for. Putting any blanket in the washing machine is difficult, also some machines are worse than others and will tear them from impact, this is not the fault of the blankets. I only received it today so I have no idea of its durability but I have no reason to think it won't hold up with normal use. I will update this review if I encounter any legal issues. [Update: After 6 months and 2 washes it still looks and feels like new so no durability issues] Some people have complained that it wasn't warm enough. but this is NOT a winter weighted blanket, if you're freezing in an unheated log cabin somewhere, you won't get warm enough in there. but for use in a heated house, this heat is sufficient. and if for some reason it's not, you can just add an extra blanket because layers are good. Jesus Christ what people complain about. (Update: Well, some people are just colder than others, for example my mom says it's cold when I'm hot. But layers are definitely the way to go). As far as I know, this blanket is perfect! pay attention to the size! The width seems a bit small, I don't know what's normal, but you only have about 10 inches of overlap on each side (do the math). So I ordered the next size up and it falls to the floor. last thought People usually put bedspreads on their beds. whose main purpose is to make the bed beautiful. but this blanket is so beautiful there is no need to cover it up, it looks beautiful on its own.
