Review on SEO-Optimized: DXA-MICRO PRO Beachtek Audio Adapter by Jeffrey Nunes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

When you need video, the DXA-Micro should be in your pocket!

I would not have thought of such a purchase, but recently everything has changed. After a few situations of either recording a video for later upload or streaming live when I had to switch mics and couldn't, I realized something needed to change. After a long research I came across the BeachTek DXA-Micro Pro. I use it as a 2 channel audio mixer so I can easily switch between microphones without unplugging and plugging them in. I am using a PANASONIC LUMIX G7 4K Mirrorless Camera with MEGA OIS 14-42mm Lens, 16 Megapixels, 3" LCD Touch Screen, DMC-G7KK (USA BLACK) as my 4K camcorder. Even if I only use a microphone, The DXA-Micro allows me easier control of audio levels without having to rely on the camera's AGC (which I've disabled) to kick in when it should, and eliminates the need to go into menus while recording and the adjust levels. While I use the on-screen audio meter to tell me when to change the volume, I do everything else from the DXA-Micro's front panel. Love the versatility of being able to use a 3.5mm or XLR Jack without being able to use an adapter I wish I didn't have to use a 9 volt battery but with everything this unit does there probably isn't a choice The quality and ease of use of this unit makes BeachTek the first sub be the one I turn to for a solution if I have a similar need in the future.

Pros
  • Two mono and one stereo 3.5mm input with plug-in power.
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
