I breed chickens from the hatchery at home, and then I transfer them to my father. He has a nice chicken coop and a place for them to run around. Trouble is, the plague hit this year and we're stuck in a residential area. I can let them roam the yard if I look, but that's not always possible. This run is as advertised. It's like a foldable tent, goes where I need it. Has inserts to keep it in place. Zippered openings for chicks to get in and out of. I have a stone block kennel to raise to the level of the holes so the hens have access to cover when on this run. You have to jump around a bit. If I had silk like last year I would probably need to build a ramp as there are no ground level entrances. Normal chickens don't mind a little jump. In the heat of the day, it's easy to move to a cooler location. They haven't escaped yet, and several months have passed since then. I wouldn't advise using this in locations with determined predators. The material corresponds roughly to a pop-up tent. However, this thing works great in a residential area with few predators. After the chicken crossing, I have an extra run for emergencies. Set up quickly. Moves easily. Cheap. Folds up incredibly small when not in use. If this thing breaks I will definitely buy a replacement.
