I am confused by the reviews on this product that say the wings are not attached to the center section - they connect with vertical pins that screw into the center section become center section, but the pins fit into one of several holes on the bottom of the right and left sides. It doesn't slip and is very secure. Maybe these reviews refer to a different model? This monitor stand is made from high quality chipboard and has a decent chip resistant finish. The pre-drilled holes are well done and the pin holes are reinforced with plastic inserts. The cams clicked for sure. All parts were included in the kit and assembly was simple and straightforward with just a Phillips head screwdriver. We placed two 24 inch monitors on a stand and they fit perfectly in the right and left platforms, so you can leave enough space (3-4 inches) between the monitors or move them closer together as you prefer. The right and left platforms continue to rotate Pins screwed into the center platform, making it easier to adjust the monitor angle.
