Foam crumbles and takes a lot of product (and time) to get to this point. It dries very quickly on the face once you start shaving, so I recommend you smear half first and then the other half with separate lather attempts. That is, unless like me you suffered a mild chemical burn and decided to toss it in the trash. Too much eucalyptus, menthol or camphor, not sure what. A slight sting starts about the time you put down the brush and pick up the razor, but it's kind of refreshing. But it gets stronger very quickly and after 4 or 5 shaves I want to rush to get the stuff off my face. The cream should foam easily into whipped cream, stay moist, and not cause enough pain to make you go faster. up with your razor. The original is moderately better in the sense that it contains no camphor/menthol/eucalyptus and lathers much better.
