Very nice boots, with inaccurate sizing

They feel very soft and nice on the inside, and I like that they zip up to make it easier to get little feet inside, but the sizing is extremely off. these are supposed to be a girl's size 5, I put it side by side with my slipper, which is a woman's size 8! As you can see they look about the same size, so unfortunately I need to return them and I'm hesitant to reorder in a smaller size as I'm not sure what to expect.

Pros

Nothing to dislike about this boot looks just like the photo very pleased

Cons

The boots can become too warm during mild winter days, causing sweat and discomfort

My 6 year old daughter likes them enough to actually wear them (rather than stealing her brothers rubber boots) so that alone is a big win in this house. Warm, holding up well to all the abuse she can throw their way. Recommended.
