My daughter needed a warm black hat to wear under her band hat. She wanted something long enough to cover her ears but thin enough to fit under a uniform hat. This hat is perfect! It covers her ears, and since the brim of the hat isn't turned down, it's under her other hat! Here it is cozy warm and hot in the ears! It is soft and elastic, it is small but easily fits a larger head, it can even fit hair twisted into a bun under a hat. I washed it in cold water in a garment bag and laid it flat to dry. There was minimal shrinkage, no fading or pilling. In general we are satisfied with this hat, it was exactly what we were looking for!
