Review on πŸ”‹ Greenlee DM-820A DMM: The Ultimate TRMS AC/DC Multimeter with CAP and TEMP Measurement by Bill Pool

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beautiful electricity meter

Purchased from EZcomp for $49. because he had an acceptable rating. Well I couldn't be happier. The only markings are on the clear plastic above the LCD. Perfectly legible and with a few more uses of the headlight restorer it will look almost new. The gauge seems pretty accurate. Voltage and current are calibrated. I'm not a fan of self-ranging, but that and the selectable range work well. The frequency is correct, at least for sine and square-wave signals. That's more compared to Klein, and the numbers are also about 20% higher. This is good for us old folks who need reading glasses to look at the chart and would have to take them off to see the counter when it would be a bit far away if the numbers were smaller. I also like the feel of the switch. It reminds me of my Simpsons when I actually did electrical work for a living. The temperature seems fine, but I have a Type-K sensor and three meters, and they all fluctuate between 1 and 3 degrees Fahrenheit. This one measures the boiling point at 211, so I think that's pretty good. Good counter for $49 or even a few hundred. This is a quality product.
