I took my watch to a jeweler to have the links removed and then found that most jewelers would not work with a wooden watch as the links could chip. I pulled them out myself with the tool provided, but it took me a hammer to tap lightly to dislodge some of them. The bushings are very tight on the pins so I had to tap lightly with a hammer to get the pin back in. Be careful as the wooden links can break. I don't think you can beat the aesthetics of this watch for the price.
