Review on TMEI Bow Arrow Set for Kids: A Fun Introduction to Archery! by Walter Velasquez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Bow and arrow are fine. The quiver is a failure.

Little assembly required. The bow consists of two large parts that slide into each other. An elastic string needs to be adjusted to get the right tension. The kit includes a spare bowstring. The bow has a hole for the arrow to go through and a small notch on the back of the arrow that makes it easy to fix the arrow and ensure a good shot. I still haven't learned how to stick arrows to the target. Kids love to just stick arrows to things around the house and pull them so the suction cups are already wavy. I think they will soon lose their ability to stick. The bow itself is a durable bow and works well with arrows. The most disappointing thing was the quiver. It has a strap that should fit the quiver snugly to the body but it ended up being too angled on my son's back and the arrows just fall out! He is a slim 9 year old. Much of his excitement came from the thought that he could pull arrows out of his quiver and still look so cool! He can't do that with this quiver. Maybe if I made a drawstring bag with loops over both shoulders the quivers would stay upright on his back... If you have a kid who wants to stand up and practice archery and arrows this will work. If a kid wants to walk around with a toy masquerading as an action hero, that won't work as the darts will easily fall out of the quiver.

  • Inexpensive
Cons
  • Large and bulky
