Better Fiskar!

I sew for a living and have used a lot of scissors over the past 25 years. I use spring loaded ones because they don't hurt my thumb or tire my hand - I cut a lot! I started with Fiskars but wasn't happy with the weak spring, the tab on the clasp that didn't keep it closed and after a while the hinge came loose making it almost impossible to cut. Then I found the Thorntons. Oh my goodness! They have a strong, durable spring that has never lost strength or broken, they're strong and solid - they won't wobble or wobble, and the clasp at the bottom ensures they never open. I ended up with a scissor blade stuck in my hand because it was open, so that's an important feature for me. This is my fourth pair of Thorntons. I have one on my sewing machine and one in my cutting room. The blades won't dull unless you accidentally hit a pin, hence the new pairs. I could probably sharpen them, but I don't have that ability. My sewing life has gotten so much better with these scissors. I highly recommend them. but I don't have that ability. My sewing life has gotten so much better with these scissors.
