I bought this for my (now) 5 year old when she was 4, she just **LOVES** it! It is very durable, so much so that it can be "taken" outside. Just make sure it's on a flat surface and/or grass with no sharp rocks or anything like that. Because my 5-year-old daughter will be jumping across the yard with her. It's not cheap quality, it lasts VERY well! The only sad thing is that tonight our cat decided to go after her after living with her for 1 year (hell!) and she wanted yellow so I hope the cat doesn't go into my daughter's room this time comes (laughs). She cried quite a bit because she lost it and I felt so bad so I ordered a new one. It comes with a pump, a small piece of measuring paper so you can inflate it to the size you want it to be and an extra stopper and stopper remover. pop the cork when you want to blow it off. I can almost guarantee that when it does reach the age limit I will be ordering a size up again - that's how much my daughter loves this item - I had one when I was younger and I haven't met a child who doesn't love it these things and they are very affordable for how much fun they are :)
