This item is very light and very cheap. Of course, that's what most of the other reviews said, so I expected it and treated it with care. It arrived broken with the top part of the parrot's beak broken off in one of the compartments and lying loose in the box. I believe at least one other reviewer had the same issue. It's a very cheap thin plastic. I pressed the part with a little force since the locking tabs needed to snap and used a plastic compatible glue to glue it along the side edges. As another reviewer noted, when fixing such an issue, the glue tends to drip down and block the lever arm/underside of the parrot's beak, which can cause major problems in use (thanks for the warning, by the way!). Noticing this happening, I wiped away any drips/excess and stuffed a folded paper towel into the parrot's beak's mouth while the glue set to prevent the underside of the beak from sticking to the tip. The glue is already drying, but I suspect that everything will be fine. Stocked up on Skittles, Sour Jelly Belly and soon M&Ms. I'm on a low carb diet so not for me but my kids will love it. So plan for some possible do-it-yourself repair work, but otherwise look forward to using it. Will update this review if you are not happy with the performance.
