Very thin fabric suitable for outdoor activities

This is not 'premium fabric', it is literally hand tights. It's too thin, not even as thick as a t-shirt. My mother laughed when she saw this. I thought I was going to poke a hole with my nails. Not enough to cover the back, leaving some shoulders bare in the front. Oddly limp/crumpled, but at the same time taut/not stretched enough.
