I was skeptical before buying - I wasn't sure how much protection it could offer and if the plastic would look cheap. I was wrong! Appearance: Plastic/Acrylic is thick but not bulky. It has a premium coating that gives it a glassy clarity and resists scratches and fingerprints. I got quite a few compliments on this one. I've also dropped it twice on tile and got no scratches. Protection: I dropped my MacBook Pro twice (on tiles), the product saved my computer! I've also stepped on my computer, spilled water on it and got thrown in my trunk one day (yes I'm the worst) but at least I checked! There isn't a single scratch on the product, which is shocking. It provides an extra layer of protection for dirty surfaces while showing off your beautiful computer!
