Not sure how waterproof they are. A foam rubber gasket is placed between the plugs, and then the two halves are twisted. However, there's no rubber padding around the holes on the ends that the cables run through, leaving you with a gaping space for water to just drain out. All my outside connections are vertical so this product is totally useless. You would get less water if the product was horizontal, but not quite. Others are sold with gaskets on the ends. Give them a try if you want something waterproof.
