Let's assume that like me you are excited every minute of every day. What sounds like a waking nightmare when you just want restless sleep? Waking up sweating or not feeling comfortable enough under a hot blanket to even fall asleep. There this bad boy appears in the picture. It is great. It's fairly light and breathable, so paired with a sheet makes the perfect combination for a summer nap. The cotton is soft but not plush or flannel. Sized perfectly for a king (12" thick cooling mattress) with plenty of material so you and your significant other don't fight over duvet scraps in the middle of the night. Plus it's a nice weave that looks like it will hold up. Which is nice because our dog owns 1/3 of the king. In general the quality is good. There were a few threads after the first wash but no problems so far. Right out of the box, this thing smelled like a baby yeti diaper. I don't know what you're talking about, Eddie Bauer, but it was poignant. The smell/funky/musky/doody smell faded slightly in the first wash so it's probably just our UPS using it as a fart sponge on the go. a nap that this thing spawned. If I hadn't lived life and cared so much. People: this is heaps. That's what your dryer's lint collector is for. You have to clean it after every download so you don't burn down your damn house. All in all, this is a really good duvet. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a durable, breathable cotton blanket.
