I'm a huge fan of most of Tim's stamps and I really loved the concept of this stamp but. In practice it has some disadvantages. It is very difficult to get it to erupt fully, especially in smaller states. I have used various combinations of gaskets including metal gaskets. However, I don't have a Sizzix precision insert, so I can't comment on how well it cuts with this insert. Once cut, the state loop is very difficult to remove without damaging it. A bit of wax paper helps, but even then the outline is so complicated and since the smaller states don't cut well this exacerbates the problem. The stamp itself is too large to be used on a standard A4 greeting card. So if you want to use it to create maps, you need to use it on a larger map. However, it can be used to crop images of a single state. For example, if you just want a picture of Texas, this cube is easy to use to quickly cut out Texas.
