Works great. I stored a stupidly heavy latex foam mattress neatly folded in a corner for 6 weeks. I fully expected it to fail eventually, so it was reinforced with three ratchet straps (double-thick cardboard under the ratchet to avoid piercing the plastic). The bag did not disappoint me. Can't tell if it would have held up without the straps, but I doubt it would have stayed folded that neatly. When I first applied the vacuum to the valve it whimpered with effort and I didn't think anything was wrong but after a minute or two it started to flatten out. I let the vacuum vacuum while I walked over the mattress to help it collapse (no shoes obviously). After about 5 minutes it was only about an inch thick and stayed that way until I opened the package. Then the mattress became full size in seconds like nothing happened. I'll take a picture next time. I didn't expect to be so excited about the bag.
