Review on Neewer Beehive Umbrella Speedlite Panasonic by Adrian Retana

I was a bit hesitant to take a chance on this box. These light shapers from China can be very successful. I was pleasantly surprised by this box, it is very good value for money! The material and assembly quality is excellent for this price range. The wall fabric is very thick and the inner surface has a grainy silver texture. Inner aperture and outer aperture diffuse light well. The bars are steel, with metal tips, very stiff. The end that slides into the pocket is smaller and rounded, while the other end that goes into the speed ring is square. The speed ring is nothing out of the ordinary but seems adequate for the size and weight of the box. I've been in commercial photography for over six years and have assembled and disassembled softboxes of various brands thousands of times for myself and other studios and I can say that this softbox put together as quickly as any other professional Octa I've built . Second hand. After about two dozen shots, I can assemble it in 2-3 minutes. If you want something that goes up faster, there are umbrella softboxes of about the same size and price, but you lose power what you gain in speed. I suspect many of the reviewers complaining about the complexity of assembly have never used professional light shapers. There are several videos online that explain how to assemble it. Is it important. (You first insert 4 bars as if assembling a square softbox, then fill in the other four.)
