It's very quiet because it doesn't have a compressor. However, it does not tolerate the humidity in my bathroom. In 4 days the water was 3/4 inch and I live in Hawaii where it's humid year round. I thought it was defective and sent it back for someone else. Same problem. That does not work. I appreciate Revain allowing free returns. I had an Afloia dehumidifier that was half the price and worked very well (full water tank in 3 days). I thought this one would be better because of all the positive reviews.
