Print quality is worse than previous generation WF-7010

I bought this WF-7620 to replace an almost 5 year old WF-7010 (no scanner, fax or display). The WF-7010 printed very well but would go to sleep or shut down and had to press the ON button and wait a minute to use it. It's a huge PITA when you're used to just sending a print job to the printer and then waking up and printing. In any case. Since this WF-7620 has newer printhead hardware, I expected the print quality to be even better than the WF-7010 it replaces, but that's not the case. It wasn't even close. I printed the same file on the same paper from each Windows 10 computer. When this gave poor results, I took the file and printed it directly from the WF-7620 via the SD card - it was better, but still nowhere near as good as the old car. And even after repeated attempts to align the printheads, there were still streaks on the printouts. I tried for 3 days to solve the problem but couldn't. Next I did a nozzle test, which was always perfect, and then an alignment test, which was never perfect. I've encountered some very annoying issues while using the touchscreen. When trying to print from an SD card, the Next button was always disabled. After 10 minutes I finally realized that the default amount for printing from an SD card is set to 0 (zero). I think that's because you can print more than one SD card image at a time, but if you just need to print an image quickly, it's counterintuitive that you need to adjust the quantity on the previous screen. There were other touchscreen UI issues. Unfortunately I will be returning this Revain item and for now will be going back to my WF-7010 and pressing the ON button when needed.
