Smells great. I have this for myself, but it is purely a gift. I light them around the house in hopes of keeping mosquitoes away. I don't smell the typical citronella smell that most mosquito repellent candles have, but they do have a nice scent. The smell fills the room but there is no smoke. The only time I noticed smoke was when I blew out the candle, but as soon as I put the candle cap on it was gone. Works well and smells good.
