Pros: SUPER BRIGHT: It's funny how much light it puts out. I couldn't believe the brightness it produces is only 10 watts. does it stay completely cool? no The block itself is heated, but strangely the tank does not heat up. My terrarium is pretty close to live moss and plants in a very small terrarium and the temperature seems to stay at around 78 degrees which is perfect. Plants show no signs of heat stress even 2-3 inches away from the LEDs. ELEGANT DESIGN: The device itself looks very modern and goes well with white furniture. Compared to other home furnishings, it has a futuristic look that goes well with modern homes. Cons: NO BLUE SETUP: Although this device has blue LEDs, they produce a full spectrum of light when turned on. It is not possible to turn on the blue LEDs without the white ones. UNADJUSTABLE SETTING: Since the device is exceptionally bright, it would be nice to be able to turn that brightness down. It's great during the day, but if you plan on using it after hours, it will brighten up the entire room. This lamp exceeded my expectations in every respect. Being able to get the light so close to live moss and plants without burning them but giving them an insane amount of light was very helpful. Especially for the price. Give it a try, I love mine and will be buying more for future projects. Hope that helps.
