So that's a very long streak of light to try and drive everything through a USB port. The ending is darker than the beginning, and honestly, that was to be expected. This can be used to shorten the length, and the LEDs should shine more evenly the shorter they get. The CRI (color rendering index) is pretty low and they look like another band I've received that claims to be CRI. from 80. But they are incredibly cheap and can be used in a variety of situations. If you have a USB charger with more than 5 ports, you can easily connect five of them to just one outlet. They work with a USB dimmer that I also found on Amazon (it's PWM so you'll see flickering at certain brightness levels). You can work with a portable battery. I thought how great it would be to use this while camping. Normally you only have one lamp. In this case the illumination is several feet. So it has its uses. I wouldn't recommend using it to light up your bedroom or anything (I highly recommend looking for higher CRI strips and bulbs) but it has its uses and I'm happy with what it is.
