Review on πŸ‘ž Sperry Men's Boat Shoe Sahara: Classic Style and Superior Comfort in Every Step by Kaveen Reyes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

As far as I know, the mighty of this world have not fallen.

I bought these without having any experience with the Sperry brand and without reading all the reviews about how their quality supposedly has deteriorated. Well I've been wearing them for 5+ months almost every day since the weather got warmer and I had to start working from home. They were a bit tight when new but have stretched and now fit perfectly, half a size smaller than the ones I usually buy. I've ridden them many miles on rough tarmac and it's pretty clear that while the soles are durable, they wear out long before any part of the upper shows any noticeable wear. If I only wore them at home, on vacation and on trips to the beach, which can happen when I return to my office regularly, it is clear that they would last for many years. The sugar is lighter than the photo as another reviewer said. But I love them so much and paid a lot less for them than they currently sell on Amazon so I can look forward to using them longer. In my opinion very good quality. Edit: I don't want to judge experienced sailors who rate this shoe poorly for lack of durability. These are boat shoes for passengers, not crew. If you want handcrafted boats made in the US, Sperry still sells them for $375. Rancourt also for $250.

Pros
  • understandable even for the old one
Cons
  • Some little things
