Review on 📱 DSC PTK5507 PowerSeries 7" TouchScreen Security Interface with 7 Inch Display by Roberto Tucker

Got this to replace the basic DSC keyboard after they replaced the entire DSC panel as I needed more zones. While it looks good compared to a basic DSC keyboard, there are some functional disappointments.* Unlike a cheap DSC display, the display is typically blank. You can set it to show the clock, but this has to be done every time you touch the screen. You have to touch either the screen or the button to see what has been opened or closed. I liked it on a cheap display when the kids are out of the house. * As with cheap DSC, you cannot increase the ringer volume. * Unlike a cheap DSC display, you cannot change the tone used for a call. Or at least I couldn't figure out how to do that, although there was a way to get into the buzzer menu.* My wife has a hard time actually registering the keys on the keyboard. I think it's because she has long nails? I don't have this problem with clipped nails. Installation is easy, but note that the mounting screw holes do not match the mounting holes for a cheap DSC display.
