Oh my god, I've been looking for something like this for a long time! I keep ziplocked snacks for work all the time and it seems such a waste of time that I have to throw them out after only 1 use. Especially true if you bring a sandwich! This contributes to so much wasted plastic. Now I can just use them! In terms of lids, I love them for covering food/snack bowls, which I'll come back to later, or difficult-to-open containers, especially those pesky sauce/salsa jars. I've tried them on several containers and they stay in place for days without slipping. I'm always so frustrated opening those airtight lids and now I don't have to worry about that anymore! they were definitely not airtight and that was very disappointing. It leaked everywhere! After using them I will definitely recommend them to her, they are much better. Exceeded my expectations PROS: -less plastic waste in the form of disposable zippers -bags are 100% airtight (I tried!) -made of thick silicone material/feel durable -can replace hard-to-open twist-off lids like jars of pasta /Salsa sauces, especially when you're about to finish anyway - love using the kids to cover a bowl of pretzels/chips/popcorn to keep bugs/dust out when I'm outside or just for that to keep food fresh and crispy. - Lids are so easy to put on and take off! CONS: - The lids on the bowl/jar make them not stackable (but for my use this isn't a problem at all) - Closing the bag isn't easy as a traditional zip in the sense that you can't just zip it up. To do this, you need to toggle the plastic bar on and off. It took a little getting used to at first, but the bar actually glides very smoothly. Just make sure the arrow lines up with the round hole! All in all I recommend this product! Exactly what I was looking for.
