I love that the curling iron can be used at a 90 degree angle (like a gun) or as a straight, regular curling iron . It's a little tricky to use, but if you follow the instructions that come with it (with pictures!), it'll be less intimidating than you might find at first. This set includes a heat resistant sock-like glove that isn't the best quality (I've had better ones) but it's ok if you're careful. The iron heats up quickly and has at least 15 temperature settings, which is great. The set also tries to sell you a purchase of HSI Thermal Protector (it's recommended to spray on your hair before ironing), but any leave-in conditioner will do just fine. The kit includes a trial pack of argan oil, which may be just as good. Overall, this is a quality curling iron used by professionals. For those of us new to using a clipless curling iron, it takes some learning, but it's possible.
