Review on Timbuk2 4440 Lug Knapsack OS by Orwin Greener

I bought this backpack directly from Timbuk2 website and sent it back. I really liked this backpack because it is very nice and big. Unfortunately there were several problems. Firstly, it's advertised to fit a 13" laptop and my 13" MacBook Pro does fit in the laptop compartment but it won't if you have some sort of protective case for your computer. I've included an image showing the relative size of my Thule bag versus the laptop compartment and although the Thule bag is quite large I grabbed this backpack from BestBuy and tried every 13" MacBook bag available - none of which fits. in the laptop compartment of this bag. Second, the stitching in two places on the bag was frayed and uneven when it arrived. The bag had not been used before, it just had poor stitching which is very bad for a bag of this type Photo Third, the zippers themselves are not water resistant but instead have a fabric tab that is meant to protect them from the elements. This fabric flap gets caught in the zippers with every use. If you are not careful when packing and unpacking, the fabric will get caught in the zipper almost every time. This is really annoying and every time you want to use this bag becomes a bit of an ordeal. Photos of this issue are attached. Again I love the look of the bag and really want to like it but I had to return it. Even if the seam flaws were an anomaly, I can't live with the design issues. Most importantly, I don't want to have to think about being careful with zippers every time I take out my bag.
