These tide fluid bags take up much less landfill space, while being recyclable like plastic bottles. Unfortunately, most plastic has nowhere to be recycled, so it ends up in landfill anyway. Half a dozen of these liquid packs, when emptied and flattened, take up about the same space as a 1-gallon plastic measuring-cap bottle, even if you crush them. You don't have to refill the bottle, although thankfully the filling tip fits right into the bottle's spout. The price is about the same per ounce. You get more tide in less packaging, including a box. We refill things like Windex bottles with larger refills. It's nice to see that the laundry is getting better thanks to the program. Capsules are a good idea, but they're more expensive per ounce and the size fits everyone. If you have an efficient machine, you only want to add the amount of soap required for the load.
