Review on EltaMD Moisturizer Sunscreen: Broad Spectrum Protection without the Greasy Feel by Erin Walker

Works well but is thick

I've been using tinted moisturizers for a long time and have never tried an EltaMD product that I didn't like, so I figured I might actually like this product. I was right! It is very good. I was a bit skeptical about the color at first, but it actually blended perfectly with my skin. The coverage is light as it is a tinted moisturizer and not a foundation. Even though the sunscreen doesn't last all day, my face looks beautiful, like I've put on light makeup. And perhaps best of all, it doesn't cause problems on my skin like some brands do. However, there is one aspect of this product that keeps me from loving it 100 percent. He is very fat. My regular foundation moisturizer is runny and goes on quickly, but this one is much thicker, takes longer to apply, and feels a little heavier on my skin, at least initially. Once turned on, the heaviness goes away fairly quickly, so it's not a big deal in the long run, but it's worth noting. I've been using it for a few weeks now in place of my longtime product and I'm still amazed at how hard it is every day. Overall I am satisfied with this product. Sun protection is good. The color suits me. It's enough like makeup to make my face look like I've worked hard all day. It's a bit heavy at first, but it doesn't last long. And my skin feels protected from the sun and well hydrated. Highly recommended.
