Doesn't work, battery dead?

Looked like good value for money. It even looked good when I opened it. But when I set the time and let it run, it ran for about 3 seconds and stopped. It had no instructions so I tried resetting the time and restarting a few times. I once let it run for almost a minute before it stopped. After several attempts it stopped working. The battery turned out to be dead, which is probably why the price was so low. I didn't want to risk any more so I asked for a refund.
