Review on Pendleton Crater National Blanket Queen by Monica Moore

Cover Pendleton vs. Hudson Bay

, I have some blankets from Pendleton National Park and I love them. I've always heard that Hudson's Bay blankets are the best wool blankets. Searching the internet I couldn't find any significant comparison between the two cities other than people saying "Hudson Bay is better" or "Pendleton is better". So I decided to create this review with a comparison of photos so potential buyers can see the difference. If you're thinking about spending hundreds of dollars on a blanket, it helps to know the pros and cons of each. So here are some observations: * The Hudson's Bay blanket is definitely thicker and "fluffier". If you're looking for a practical duvet for maximum warmth, I'd recommend the Hudson. *The Pendleton blanket is tighter woven, thicker and has finished edges on all sides. Looks more refined.* The Pendleton has a softer hand in my opinion. I found Hudson Bay prickly. *If you're thinking of durability or heirloom quality, I think the Pendleton will age better due to the tighter weave and finished edges. The Hudson's Bay Blanket arrived with loose fibers around the edges. What will it look like in 10 or 20 years? *Due to the tighter weave, Pendleton appears to curl less and carry less "lint" onto other bedding/clothing. * Pendleton is no longer available. Hudson's high price seems to be mainly due to the well-known brand. See my photos for comparison. I hope this review helps you buy a comforter you love.
