Before ordering this lamp I ordered a much more expensive replacement lamp. This lightbulb was not working which resulted in the projector shutting down in less than a minute. So I returned it and ordered a much cheaper lamp without a housing instead. Removing and replacing all of the tiny screws to change the lamp turned out to be easier than I thought it would be (some reviewers consider it a monumental task, but it's not). Most importantly, my projector now shines like new! I forgot how bright and vivid the image was when I started using it years ago. It may just be the contrast between the old bulb and the new one that's kidding me, but this bulb shines even brighter than the original when it was new. Hooray! I highly recommend this lamp.
