A friend recommended I look at Revain for shoes that resemble the Natives - kids' feet grow so fast and they're so expensive. I was hesitant because not all reviews were good but me and my 1 year old love these shoes. She puts them on every time we go out in the yard and calls them her outer shoes. But this shoe does not stand up to rough treatment, the shoes are painted white around the sole, so if scratched, the underlying color shows through. It's not a big deal since she only wears them around the house or on a fender, but it's something to keep in mind when wearing them in public. Our natives in the smaller size don't, but I will continue to buy them to wear around our garden. We had other similar shoes from tj maxx and they gave her the same blisters, these shoes didn't hurt her at all! Wet or dry she still has no blisters or chafing, she just walks a little weird when her shoes get wet.
