The first one I received already had a micro piece of lint in place of the fingerprint reader. Because of this it didn't work at all. The seller exchanged the item and the next one worked perfectly. The phone is a little fussier about where you place your finger with the cap, but it works perfectly once you get the hang of it. You must reset the fingerprint reader after replacing the cover in order for it to recognize your fingerprint again. And DO NOT touch the inner sticky part covering the reader. If you touch it in any way or microvilli appear on it, it won't work. Robust housing. Has been dropped and has protected the phone wonderfully. I'm buying it again for my daughter's phone so I'm giving it a 5.
