They are really pretty. The finish is deep and rich and the holes are LARGE, just like canisters should be. The only disappointing thing is they don't close as tightly as canisters should. By the time I used the sugar, the spoon and sugar had actually dried into one hard, immovable piece! However, I solved this problem by adding a rubber grommet to the inside rim of the canisters I use for flour and sugar. Then I threw a piece of bread into the sugar bowl and after a day or two it softened again. Now I just have to be careful not to bump into each other as I don't want them to split. But they look really neat and I'm glad I found them.
