I love my fan! I installed it professionally and didn't read many other reviews. I have a high ceiling so I ran to the store and grabbed a longer hanging rod. I haven't read that the company will do up to 24 inches for free if I email them. The wires weren't actually long enough for the longer crossbar, but since the pro was an electrician he was able to extend it from where the wires were. We hung it and it looks great. The remote control fits perfectly in the holder. I will say that the first night it worked for me it squeaked at high rpm so I ran it at medium and low rpm. As a result, the creaking began there. I live in Las Vegas so I just turned it off because my primary need was to cool the room. It was quite uncomfortable but I decided I would come to the electrician the next day and have a look. Before I knew it, the sound had stopped that evening! I don't know if it just had to run for a while or what it was - it was quite annoying but now it runs very quietly at all speeds! nice and quiet!
