Nice appearance. Nice features. Good sound. But the volume is only enough for a small room. I had bad luck with the radio under the kitchen counter. They couldn't pick up local FM radio and looked terrible in their flashy plastic casing. That's how I came to this table. Looks nice but if you spill water or do something like that it drowns out the radio. This is not due to the device, but to the size of the speakers. I found that the USB port on the back of the device (great idea) doesn't deliver very much power. It took forever to charge something like a phone or an iPad. I would recommend this unit for a small to medium sized quiet room. Update after a year. Still a very good block, but I've found a problem. You cannot disable the Bluetooth connection. If someone is connected to the radio, you can only deactivate it from your mobile device. In a household with devices, I'm always running around trying to figure out who's connected, only to disconnect them so I can connect. Other BT devices often have an eject button on the device.
