As others have pointed out, the level of detail looks overwhelming when you first open the box. However, most of them don't need it. I recommend reading all of the instructions before you begin. There are two sets of parts - both divided into sequentially numbered and numbered smaller pouches. You use all the parts from the first set of packages to assemble the stand yourself (very easy if you take the time to study the schematic). The second set of bags is filled with many different screws of different sizes and lengths (in bags sequentially from smallest to largest). All you have to do is find the ones that fit the back of your particular TV. You only need four of these (plus the spacers/washers provided) to attach the two rails to the back of your TV. You then use these guides to hang the television on the stand that has already been assembled. You can hang the rails in a number of different places, giving you flexibility as to how high you want your TV to be. Once you've decided on a height that works for you, insert the two screw caps that hold the TV in place and finger tighten (to prevent someone bumping into the TV and knocking the rails off the stand) . The end result is a very solid, well-designed and attractive stand that swivels left to right for the best viewing angle. The small, centrally located footprint gives you much more flexibility when setting up the TV on tables of different sizes and types than the widely spaced (and cheap looking) legs that come with many TVs (including mine). I have a 40" TV and used the smallest stand (for which 40" was the max size). I'm glad I did as I have very little space and the small size of the stand allows me to place the TV on a fairly flat table. The smallest stand is strong enough to hold my 40 inch TV. And when you think about it, what at first seems like a shortcoming (all those extra screws) is actually quite thoughtful on the part of the manufacturer. They save you the trouble of repeatedly going to the hardware store to find the exact size and length of screws for your TV. In general, for such a cheap price just super.
