We bought this to keep our new dog away from our bed. This lifted our double bed off the floor so he couldn't jump on us. I also like the bed being higher so it's a win-win. I was surprised that I could still use it to raise and lower our adjustable bed with ease. (I had to buy two sets to get the six we need for our bed.) I didn't use the extra storage space this allows for, but it's nice to know I now have that option as well.
