I bought this to take to the pool in the summer and it works great. I know it's considered truly waterproof, but I haven't tested it. It has withstood occasional splashes with no problems. However, the reason I am writing this review is because this speaker really helped me in a desperate situation. I was shooting a music video and found that it just wasn't practical for the band to use our entire speaker system in every venue. Instead, we just asked someone to carry this speaker around and rock music wherever we should help with lip syncing. It was a life saver and the battery lasted all day of shooting.
