If you're a busy parent like us, this vacuum could be your best friend. I have to say that I was a bit skeptical at first when I saw that this is quite an expensive vacuum cleaner, but my wife tired me and we made the purchase. This vacuum is doing a pretty good job cleaning my entire downstairs. It's all hardwood and bypasses furniture, obstacles and cleans well under furniture too. My teens don't like sweeping the floor and this eliminates the hassle and harassment of doing it. I have a step down in my common room and I love that the vacuum feels the step down and rotates. I do have to pick it up and put it on the floor to clean my family room, but that has more to do with the design of my house than the vacuum itself. Overall I'd like to say I'm very satisfied, my floors are clean and the ant problem is gone. I haven't had it that long so can't speak to durability despite the price, I hope it lasts.
