Review on πŸŽ’ Black Checkpoint Friendly Samsonite Classic Backpack by Marcus Merritt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great bag for professionals and graduate students

It's not 100% perfect but I really like it more than I like so I gave it 5 stars. I first saw this bag at Kohl's for $66, so like every Prime user I came to Revain. Spirit. Someone wrote a review saying this isn't the bag they saw on Kol; However, the Samsonite bag I saw in the store matched the bag I received from Revain exactly. There's no place for a strap to hang a bag on a suitcase; Personally, I don't care, but if you've bought a bag for a convenient trip to the airport because of the laptop's security check feature, then it seems a bit counterproductive that the distinct travel feature isn't included. alone without tricks or much effort. Another reviewer said the bag doesn't stand on its own; I found it really stands on its own, empty or full; I suppose you could pack it in such a way that it might fall, but I haven't experienced a case of my bag falling forwards/backwards (unless I put it down in a way that it might) . In short, this is perfect for women or people of small stature who want something more modest that doesn't overwhelm their entire body profile. - The bag is thick. It can start leaning forward fairly quickly. There are no side straps to compress the bulge like some other bags do. They don't look completely goofy or anything, but it won't have the thinnest, slickest profile unless you actually stuff a decent amount of stuff into it. The shorter length makes the fullness more aesthetically acceptable to me. Comfort: The bag is not heavy. I have felt lighter bags but they are definitely not heavy for the quality/material the bag is made of. It must have some sort of ergonomic feature as the bag is still comfortable and NOT heavy even when full of things that would make a badly folded bag of the same size seem heavy. It has excellent padding on the shoulder strap, which also makes it very comfortable to wear. Sometimes it seems that someone is holding the bag by the handle to take some weight. -Large interior padding and exterior fabric that protects your laptop. -I am sure this material will protect your belongings. - The zippers are of good quality and smooth-running. Someone complained about this but I'm not sure why. The smallest front pocket is the most stubborn zipper in a bag, but I'm sure it will loosen over time and be easier to close as it's more of a stiffness issue than a zipper quality issue. "It's a bit cramped but still roomy enough. It is hard to explain. I think the best way to describe it is that it looks sleek and professional while still giving you enough space for everything to work. This is not an elastic type of bag; he's pretty solid. That being said, I can see that this bag's minimal flexing will cause the seam or zipper to pop if you overpack significantly. There is no space in this bag to keep your glasses safe and secure. It can be put in the front pocket, but this pocket has no fleece or soft lining, so you still run the risk of getting scratched. I've put mine in one of the bottle cages and haven't had a single accident yet. This case may not be for you if you have fashion eyewear that you want to protect but don't want to keep in your tote. It has enough pockets to pack your essentials and your ifs/maybes. On average I have a 13 OR 15 inch laptop (different for work and school) and a 6.1 x 2 x 6.5 inch fan in the laptop section; In the middle main compartment I have a 1 inch binder, a medium textbook, a notepad about 1 inch, a workbook and two 2 binders. the same middle compartment has a pocket where I keep 3 pads and 2 tampons; The second smallest front pocket is where I stash my earbuds, a full-length iPhone charger, a small 4" charger, a small (but not super mini) travel umbrella, pencils and pens, a wrench of about 1 x 3", two wrist rests, a pocket with a zipper. full of medicines and 3-4 other little things; and in the smallest front pocket I keep a small roller deodorant, mouth spray, medium eye drops, lip balm and my favorite pen and pencil. I put my glasses in one cup holder and my water bottle in another cup holder. I usually carry a fanny pack to hold my keys, phone, and wallet. but I could certainly put it in other parts of the bag. Overall: I would recommend it for PhD students and business people. It's too sleek and professional if you're looking for the typical high school or college student; for such people there are probably more functional bags. I bought this bag along with another cheaper $25 bag and the North Face Recon women's bag for about $89. The cheap bag quickly lost the race because the use of a shoulder strap quickly caused the seams to come undone. The North Face was a wonderfully functional bag that many could use for a variety of things. However, the back of the bag was made of a super hard/stiff material, making the bag heavier and more uncomfortable overall. I'm going back to the north face and exiting the Samsonite!
