Review on SAMDI Monitor Stand: Wooden Computer Storage Organizer For Laptop, IMac & Desk (Walnut) by Josh Andrews

I really like the quality and finish of this Chinese copy of the Grovemade desktop shelf. The price is excellent too.Unfortunately it’s let down by the very low quality cam screw to fasten the leg to the shelf. I managed to fasten one foot securely, but the cam screws fell apart on trying to fasten the other foot.I messaged SAMDI via Best Buy for warranty replacement and they wanted me to send a video of the broken screws! I couldn’t understand what a video would convey that a picture wouldn’t.I tried to send a video but Best Buy messaging would not allow it, so I sent a picture.SAMDI’s response was that they had upgraded their screws but it would take them 15-20 days to get them to me from China. This is pretty disappointing. So I am now waiting with a partially assembled shelf.I have now ordered a Grovemade shelf which is made in Portland and will get it in a week - and these shelves are made to order. So I get a "made to order shelf” from the USA faster than SAMDI can send me screws from China! Grovemade is expensive, but I will not encounter these issues.Very poor execution of customer service, even though they were responsive.I will update this review once I get the screws.
