This cable is reputable. This is no joke. Very strong - almost too strong? Now I'm concerned about the ports on my MacBook because this cable and its square end seem to be winning a tug of war. I think it's good. It's like a much-improved version of the barrel-style MagSafe charger because it can do it all -- and it does it with a Dell USB-C monitor that doesn't work with the Thunderbolt cable that came with the computer. And unlike the old MagSafe, it will never fall out. In fact, the effort required to fully insert and extract - albeit with a very pleasant click - is too much for children. For better or for worse, children who cannot open doors themselves are helpless in the face of this cable. You can knock over a drink while trying not to force the computer to shut down. But it's very high quality, goes great with Space Gray and works great. He obediently disappears behind my screen. I took a 3 inch and a 6 inch - I think the 3 inch is perfect for the monitor you are sitting in front of. The 6" would be more of an edge case for me, but at this price point it was easy to justify its availability considering I might need a backup, it can go as far as I want and I can only ever use the supplied Velcro to remove excess.
