is not too thick but can keep you warm in autumn weather. Getting on is easier than getting off. my daughter doesn't like this aspect, although she finds it very cute. If it fits better around the shoulders or at least buttons all the way down to make it easy to take off with ease, then I would give it a full 5 stars. otherwise my daughter complained about it and therefore this dress didn't deserve all the stars.
